At approximately 15:15 on Friday, 26 February 2016, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened fire at Palestinians who were walking in Al Ahmar area, east of Beit Hanoun in Northern Gaza Governorate. No casualties were reported. According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, IOF opened fire at families who were spending their leisure time in open areas near the borders, roughly 500 meters from the fence. The firing continued until 17:30.
