At approximately 6:30 pm on Sunday, 14 February 2016, police found a body inside a room in an agriculture field near Al Zawayda village. According to Al-Aqsa Hospital, the body was hit on the head by a sharp object and there were scares on the neck. The body was referred to Al Shifa Hospital for forensic examination. The police opened an investigation into the incident. The body was identified as, Nawaf Salmi Salam Abu Eid,58, and he worked at one of the security forces of the Palestine Authority.
