At approximately 9:30 pm on Monday, 2 February 2016, Israeli gunboats opened fire at Palestinian fishing boats which were in Deir Al Balah and An-Nusairat sea. According to Al Mezna’s field information, Israeli gunboats opened sporadic fire and launched flare bombs at about 50 boats that were off Deir Al Balah and An-Nusairat coasts, about four miles away. The shooting continued for 40 minutes. No causalties or injuries were reported but fishermen were terrified and sailed to land immediately.
