Short Link:
Name: Nour Marwan Abdullah Al-Najdy
Date of birth: 19 July 2003
Date of death: 11 July 2014.
Ten-year-old Nour from Block J in Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip was an honest and clever child. She liked poetry and attended a language center to develop her talent. Nour dreamt of being an engineer. She was really scared during the war. "She was my friend. She used to tell me all her secrets,” her mother said.
On 11 July 2014, her mother saw what she described as a fireball flying over her house. She then rushed to her daughters' room. She found Nour's head bleeding. She had been hit in the head by shrapnel. Nour died on the way to the hospital. “We have become very introverted since her death. I feel some relief when I visit her grave,” her mother added.
