Date of birth: 6 April 2006
Date of death: 1 August 2014
Eight-year-old Abdelrahman from Al Manara, Khan Younis in the south of the Gaza Strip was such a distinct little boy. He was very organized and a tidy child. He was getting ready to start third grade. He was excellent at school. Abdelrahman had beautiful handwriting and he could read the subtitles on TV when he was six. He liked football. His father bought him a bicycle, but he had no time to enjoy riding it. “His ambition was to be a doctor, so that he could cure his mother and siblings, so that they would not need another doctor,” his grandmother said.
On 1 August 2014, the family house was targeted with a missile from an Israeli drone. “We started to evacuate. Abdelrahman and his sisters were targeted by another missile while they were running away from the house,” his grandmother added. They died immediately.
