Short Link:
Name: Rital Bashir Abu Khusah
Date of birth: 24 November 2013
Date of death: 29 July 2014
Rital from Al Bureij refugee camp in the south of the Gaza Strip was an only child. She liked being picked up and carried. She could not walk yet. She liked to watch the Toyor Al Jannah children’s channel. "I bought her new clothes for the Eid holiday," her father Bashir said.
On 29 July 2014, the family’s house was bombarded with missiles from Israeli warplanes. No prior warning was given. The house was destroyed and “we were buried under the rubble. When civil defense took us from under the rubble I was screaming ‘Rital Rital’,” said her father. Rital was killed at the age of eight months.
