Seventeen-year-old Othman from Wadi Al Saqqa in Deir Al Balah in the middle of the Gaza Strip was an honest and straightforward child. He loved playing football and was a huge fan of FC Barcelona. His ambition was to be a coach. “He saved money for three years to buy a motorcycle,” said his mother.
On Monday, 21 July 2014, when Othman and his cousin Fadi were in their house, adjacent to a plot of land, an Israeli warplane struck them. They were instantly killed. Othman’s father, who is 45 years old, tried to help, but he was targeted too and killed.
