13-year-old Nour from Deir Al Balah was an only child of his single mother. Nour was very responsible around the house. He was a very active, clever and responsible boy. His hobbies included writing poetry and raising doves. He hoped to be a policeman one day. ''He was the boy of my dreams. When he asked me for pocket money I would give him more than he asked for. I wanted to teach him” his mother said. “I miss him so much,” said his grandmother. “Yesterday was the first day of school. I waited for him as usual to have breakfast with me, but he never showed up.”
At about 2:15 pm on Friday, 25 July 2014, when Nour was on his way to his uncle's house, an Israeli drone hit him with a missile. He was killed instantly. The family called an ambulance but it was unable to access the area, so he was taken by a civilian car to Al-Aqsa hospital.
