Name: Nedal Khalaf Al Nawasrah
Date of birth: 28 April 2010
Date of death: 9 July 2014
Four-year-old Nedal from Berket Al-Looz in Al-Maghazi refugee camp in the middle of the Gaza Strip was an obedient, smiley and active child. He was close to his grandfathers and spent most of his time with them. “The sounds of explosions scared him during the war,” his grandfather said. He liked to play computer games and to watch TV. He used to help his grandfather and his uncle clean the motorcycle.
On 9 July 2014, the Al Nawasrah family house was bombarded by missiles from Israeli warplanes without warning. The two-story house was completely destroyed. Nidal, his brother, Mohamed, and his mother, Ayishah, 22, were immediately killed.
