Mohammed, 3, from Al Bureij refugee camp in the middle of the Gaza Strip was a very active child. He was named by his mother. He was close to his father and accompanied him when riding his motorcycle. Mohammed loved drawing and he really wanted to be a doctor when he was older. “He was so jealous of his sister Sama’s bicycle after I bought it for her” said his aunt. His father bought him a bicycle just after.
On 29 July 2014, the Abu Jaber family house was bombarded by an Israeli bomb, without prior warning. Many houses were destroyed and nineteen people were killed, including Mohammed. Many others were wounded. It took more than 24 hours to recover the bodies.
