Date of death: 31 July 2014
Seven-year-old Mohammed Ammar Shalat from Al Nuseirat was the eldest among his siblings. ‘He was our first baby,’ says his mother. He was a clever little boy and was doing well at school. Mohammed was drinking water in the shade when an Israeli warplane fired a missile hitting him directly. ‘I really wanted to see him grow up and get married; he used to joke around and say that he wanted to marry a beautiful princess,’ says his grandmother.
