Seventeen-year-old Hassan from Al Nusairat in Deir Al Balah in the middle of the Gaza Strip was an obedient boy. “He used to take care of his mother who was sick,” said his grandfather. He loved playing football. Hassan worked with his brother in a shop. His ambition was to start his own business.
On 2 August 2014, the three-story house, belonging to Abu Madi family, was bombarded by Israeli warplane missiles without prior warning. Six people were immediately killed including Hassan, his father, his uncles and cousins. Many others were injured.
