14 April 2015
Short Link:
At approximately 6:15 am on Tuesday, 14 April 2015, Israeli farming planes sprayed the agricultural fields east of As-Salqa valley with poisonous gases. In his affidavit to Al Mezan, farmer Issam Mohammed Sulaiman Abu Muhareb, 44, who owns an agricultural field, stated that at approximately 6:15 am on Tuesday 14 April 2015, he saw a yellow farming plane sprayed planted fields with vegetables and fruits (squash, watermelon, pepper and cucumber) located east of As-Salqa valley area.
The plane was flying about 15 meters high and was spraying the fields from a distance of 500 meters. The produced smell of the sprinkled material resembles the smell of the agricultural pesticides. The area which was sprayed extends from Wadi As-Salqa valley in the north to Kissufim in the south. On the next day, the sprayed fields which owned by the Abu Mghesib family, Abu Daher, Al Smiri and Al Satari families were damaged. This strategy was used before during February and cased damages in the agricultural fields (Beans, spinach, peas).
