IOF Attacks the Weekly Demonstration East of Jabaliya; One Child Injured
At approximately 2:00 pm on Friday 11 April 2014, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened sporadic fire and launched tear gas canisters at the weekly demonstration against the Access Restricted Area that was organized by Palestinian young men and children in the border area near the Islamic cemetery east of Jabaliya in North Gaza district.
The shooting continued until 6:00 pm on the same day.
As a result, one of the participants, Ameer Salah, 16, sustained a bullet wound in his left thigh, and the medical sources in Kamal Odwan hospital described his injury as moderate.
Three of ambulance staff members, who were about 700 meters away from the borders, were suffocated by the tear gas canisters and they were treated on the field.

Ahmed Sabbah, 30;
Mohammed An-Najjar, 30;
Fouad An-Najjar, 25, and
Zakareya Al Dreemly, 26.
According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, number of Palestinian young men approached the eastern borders protesting against the Access Restricted Area and they threw stones at the Israeli soldiers.
In response, the soldiers inside the borders started shooting and launching tear gas canisters towards them.
It’s worth mentioning that the repetition of this weekly incident took a form of peaceful protest against the access restricted area east of Jabaliya.
