At approximately 11:30 am on Monday 31 March 2014, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened fire at a peaceful demonstration which was organized by the Democratic Front for Liberation of Palestine.
The participants were walking to the buffer zone, to the east and north of An-Najjar neighborhood in Khuza’a village east of Khan Younis.
The demonstration is part of commemorating the 38 anniversary of Palestinian Land Day.
Some of the participants moved towards the separation fence between Gaza Strip and Israel, raised Palestinian and factional flags, and some others planted olives in the area.
No casualties or injuries were reported but participants were terrified and left the area.
