Short Link:
At approximately 9:30 am on Thursday 3 October 2013, the Gaza Government's internal security apparatus prevented Mrs.
Amal Hamad, a member of Fatah Revolutionary Council, from travel via Erez crossing.
Mrs.
Hamad was travelling to attend a meeting for the Central Committee for Fatah in Ramallah.
According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, on 1 October 2013, Hamad obtained permission to travel after having mediation.
At approximately 7:30 am on Thursday, Amal went to Erez crossing and the apparatus prevented her from passing the crossing.
She contacted the mediators who asked her to wait for a while but the decision was made.
It’s worth noting that Hamad was banned from travelling for political reasons and she was prevented from travel several times.
