At approximately 8:00 pm on Monday 12 August 2013, police investigation department detained three persons while they were writing slogans on street walls to welcome ex-detainees in Khan Younis near the house of ex-detainee Attiya Abu Mousa.
Al Mezan has identified their names as follows:
Fares Al Qaisi, 35;
Thae’r Al A’raj, 21; and
Ahmed Abu Mkhemar, 19.
According to information available to Al Mezan, three men dressed in civilian clothes riding a white jeep arrived at the place and introduced themselves as they are from the police investigation department and ordered the aforementioned persons to stop writing slogans and detained them.
The force detained them for several hours in Khan Younis police station and released them after signing commitment not to violate the law.
