Masked Suspects Destroy Seven ATM Screens in Middle Gaza District

On Friday 1 February 2013, masked people destroyed seven ATM screens at a number of banks in Middle Gaza district.
According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, at approximately 5:18 pm on Friday 1 February 2013, masked people destroyed two ATM screens for Bank of Palestine in An-Nuseirat refugee camp.
At approximately 5:20 pm on the same day, masked people destroyed the ATM screens at the Palestinian National Islamic Bank, which is located in Al Bureij refugee camp.
At the same time, other masked people destroyed the ATM screens at the Al Quds Bank, which is located near the Palestinian Islamic Bank.
At approximately 11:30 pm on the same day, masked people destroyed the ATM screen at the Cairo Amman Bank in Deir Al Balah.

The cameras show masked people wielding hammers, approaching the bank ATMs, and destroying the screens.
Bank administrations stated that the destruction of the ATM screens will increase work pressure.
Police opened investigations into the incidents.
