Short Link:
Around midnight on Wednesday 6 June 2012, Israeli gunboats arrested three fishermen about four nautical miles from the shore southwest of Rafah.
The men were working in a group of three small boats equipped with floodlights used to attract fish when the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested them.
In his affidavit to Al Mezan, Ahmed Mohammed Al Bardawel, 21, stated that there were about 15 fishing boats working in the area when an Israeli vessel approached and took up a position about 200 meters away.
IOF naval forces then opened heavy fire and launched three inflatable boats which chased the Palestinian ships.
Al Bardawel stated that while he managed to get away, the IOF arrested his two brothers Ismail, 19, and Mohammed, 23, along with Sami Adnan Abu Nada, 17.
The IOF took the three men to an unknown destination.
