At approximately 10:10 am on Tuesday 22 May 2012, the Internal Security Apparatus in the Rafah crossing terminal prevented Ibrahim Abdel Hadi Al Hamami, 43, a Fatah member, from travel to Egypt.
In his affidavit to Al Mezan, Al Hamami stated that he went to Rafah intending to travel to Egypt.
While he was on the Palestinian side, he was informed that the Apparatus wanted to interview him.
One of the Apparatus members interrogated him about the reasons for his travel and his relationship with the Fatah movement.
Half an hour later, he was asked to collect his bags, take a taxi, and leave the crossing, and informed that he was banned from travelling.
In addition, he was handed a summons to appear at the Apparatus office in Khan Younis on 30 May 2012.
