At approximately 7:45 am on Wednesday 2 May 2012, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) moved under heavy covering fire about 300 meters into the east of Khuza’a village in eastern Khan Younis district.
The IOF then leveled lands in the area.
As a result of the firing, two adjacent schools—Shuhadaa Khuza’a for Girls, and Shuhadaa Khuza’a for Boys—were damaged.
The schools are about 800 meters away from the separation fence.
At approximately 8:50 am on the same day, the administration of the two schools evacuated them for the safety of the students.
