In the morning hours of Thursday 22 March 2012, the Internal Security Apparatus summoned six Fatah activists to its office in Gaza.
According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, the summoned persons were interrogated about a picture of Yaser Arafat and Ahmed Yasin that was posted on a wall in Al Aqsa University.
They were also interrogated about a peaceful assembly that was organized on Wednesday near Al Azhar University calling for non-politicization of the electricity crisis and an end to the internal Palestinian split.
At midday on Thursday 22 March 2012, the Apparatus released the activists, but only after issuing them further summonses to present themselves at its office on Friday 23 March 2012.
The summoned individuals have alleged that they were subjected to cruel treatment when they appeared before the Apparatus on the 23rd.
They were released again at 3:00 pm on the same day.
