In the evening hours of Monday 19 December 2011, a force from the Internal Security Apparatus arrived at the houses of Mohammed Khalil Abu Mashaekh, 43; Mohammed Hasan Al Qattshan, 31; and Yaser Abdel Majeed Abu M’iliq, 45.
All three men are from Al Maghazi refugee camp.
The security force searched the houses and confiscated a number of computers, and delivered summonses to the families demanding the men appear at the Apparatus office in Deir Al Balah in the morning hours on the following day.
At approximately 8:00 am on Tuesday 20 December 2011, the summoned persons presented themselves at the Apparatus office in Deir Al Balah, where they were detained for several hours.
The three summoned persons are former security agents of the Ramallah Palestinian Authority, which is now inactive in Gaza.
In a separate incident, in the morning hours of Monday 19 December 2011, the Apparatus detained Hesham Mahmoud Jouefel, 37, from Az-Zawaida village.
The Apparatus released all four persons detained, but only after issuing them summonses to present themselves at its office once again on 4 January 2012.
