At approximately 11:30 pm on Sunday 4 September 2011, a force from the Internal Security Apparatus arrested Juma’a Ibrahim Ash-Sharatha, 46, when he was near Abu ‘Itta crossing in Tal Az-Za’tar.
Ash-Sharatha was riding his motorcycle on his way to his home, which is located in Um An-Naser village in North Gaza district, when he was arrested.
The force took him to the Internal Security Apparatus office in Jabaliya refugee camp.
At approximately 11:45 pm on the same day, another force searched Ash-Sharatha’s house and confiscated some documents.
The reasons for the arrest remain unknown at this time.
On 5 December 2011, the Military Court pronounced him innocent and he was released on 6 December 2011.
