At approximately 10:45pm on Tuesday 8 March 2011, unknown persons detonated an explosive device near the door of Hams Al Marayia Hairdresser's. The shop is located near the Ash-Sheikh Radwan Bridge in the north of Gaza City. As a result, the shop and the building where it is located sustained major damages. The shop is owned by Khitam Hasan Al Ghouti. Shortly after, the police explosive engineering department arrived at the scene and opened an investigation into the incident.
