10:30am on Thursday 12 August 2010, the Gaza Government internal security apparatus arrested Alaa’ Ad-Din Fouad Mustafa Obaid, 38.
Obaid is the director of a Company for administration and organization in Gaza City.
In her affidavit to Al Mezan, his wife, Heba Obaid, said that some persons dressed in civilian clothes broke into her husband’s office, which is located at the Al-Jalaa' Street in Gaza City and arrested him and confiscated two computers, a laptop and the spare key to the office.
Three hours later, five persons dressed in civilians went to Obaid's house, which is located in the Qurtoba building in the Al-Wehda Street in Gaza City.
They asked his wife about weapons and searched the house.
They ordered her to give them her cell phone.
They also reviewed the contacts list and took another mobile phone SIM card that was at the house.

11pm on Friday 13 August 2010, armed men dressed in civilians clothes broke into the Company's office accompanied by the doorman.
They searched the office, confiscated some papers and left.
The Obaid family were informed that Alaa' Ad-Din was arrested by the internal security apparatus.
The reasons behind his arrest have remained unknown.
