10:30am on Monday 9 August 2010, unknown persons detonated an explosive device near a white Hyundai car belonging to lawyer Maher Attiya Abu Jubba, 39.
The car was parked opposite the lawyer's office in the Al Thawra Street in Gaza City.
The car was partially damaged.
Thirty minutes later, Abu Jubba received a telephone call from a person who identified himself as Abu Jandal and told him that “we made our promise true, and that was just the beginning”.
He also told Abu Jubba that they “were not joking with him,” and that “if he stayed positive, they would explode the car while he is inside it”.
Moreover, he told Abu Jubba that “he was waiting a message from him”.
The police arrived at the scene and opened investigation into the incident.
