At app. 7:30am on Thursday 17 June 2010, Israeli tanks launched several artillery shells on a group of Palestinian people who were trying to reach the separation fence between Israel and Gaza in Um Al Mahd area which is east of Abssan village, east of Khan Younis. As a result, one person was injured in one of his legs. He was admitted to Nasir Hospital for medical treatment.
