Gaza Government Internal Security Apparatus Summons and Arrests Fatah Activists in Rafah

8pm on Monday 14 June 2010, the Gaza Government police and security apparatus started a summons campaign for Fatah members and activists in Ash-Sha'aout area Block ' J', in Rafah.
This campaign followed a fire that had been started by a group of Palestinian children using car tires at Abu Bakir As-Sideeq Street near the UNRWA Khalwla Primary School.
The children let off fireworks in the area.
Four police jeeps arrived in the area and chased the children.
Police arrested a number of residents of that area.
Then they summoned and detained Fatah members and activists.
Al Mezan identified some names of the detainees as follows: Amen Sabri Faris Fadil, 21, who was detained by the General Intelligence, beaten and released after two hours; Yasser 'Eiada Badir Sha'ath, 37; and Hisham Mustafa Abdel Salam Al Ghoul, 56, the Fatah Secretary General in the Ash-Sha'aout area.
Then Gaza Government internal security apparatus distributed summonses for further four Fatah members to appear at its office on Tuesday 15 June 2010.
Al Mezan identified the names of the summoned persons as follows: Ahmed 'Atef Mohammed Shoman, 17; Mursi Khalifa, who is Fatah leader in Kamal Odwan area; Mohammed Barhum; and Nidal Ismael Mahmoud Khalifa, 45.
On Tuesday morning of 15 June 2010, the apparatus also summoned other Fatah members.
Al Mezan identified their names as follows: Fadi Ameen Sha'ath, 26; Mohammed Badir 'Eiada Sha'ath, 61; Ammar Mohammed Badir Sha'ath, 26; Mahmoud Rushdi Sha'ath, 30; and Salim Khalid An-Najdi (Al Burdaini).
All of them are from the same area.
