At approximately 10:30am on Thursday 1 October 2009, Ghassan Ahmed Hassan Hussein, and Ramzi Nafiz Hassan Al-Hawaji, (12 and 16 respectively) were injured due to mishandling an explosive device near the Fathi Bala'awi School in Bloc 12 in Al-Buriej refugee camp. According to medical sources at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Dier Al-Balah town, they sustained moderate injuries.
