At around 11am on 6 July 2009, 17-yer-old Saleem Yasir Abu Shinnar died as he received a bullet in the head while he was in a military training site in As-Sabra neighborhood in Gaza city. Shinnar was known to be affiliated with Izz Ad-Din Al-Qassam Brigades, which announced his death during training.
