On 9 Sep. 2006, at approximately 03:30, the IOF deployed in Um Al Wad area, leveling huge areas of agricultural land. Further, they penetrated Abu Reida neighborhood, and the areas sounding the Eastern Cemetery, broke into houses and detained a number of civilians including Salman Abu Rjeila, and his son Deia'a. At approximately 09:30, Ziad Abu Sa'ada, 23, was injured by live bullets in the neck and chest, as a result of the IOF random firing in the area.
