Palestinian dies in an ambulance waiting for access to hospital in Israel

27-year-old Hassan Abu Warda, a patient who suffered from kidney failure, died at 1am on Friday 3 August 2007, in a Palestinian ambulance at Erez Crossing.
The victim was in a critical condition and needed an urgent transport to an Israeli ambulance to access treatment in Israel.
According field investigations by Al Mezan, Abu Warda was made to wait in the Palestinian ambulance at Eirz Crossing for over 30 minutes until the coordination for his entry to Israel was processed by IOF.
He died as he was waiting.
