Executive Force detains Director of Public Relations in Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza

At approximately 1.
5am, on Thursday, 9August 2007, members of the Executive Force (EF) detained the Director of Public Relations in Al Shifa hospital, Dr.
Jom'a Helmi As Sqqa from his house in the Al Rimal Neighborhood of Gaza.
Dr As-Sqqa was taken to the Saraia governmental compound, and then was released on the same day at app.

According the EF, Dr.
As Saqqa was detained on a criminal ground, however, As Saqqa said that the arrest came as a result of his incompliance with the decision of suspending his work, and his refusal to leave his office.
He also added that he was accused of inciting the protest that took place in Shifa Hospital.
