11:30pm, on 22/1/2008, an IOF special unit penetrated through the Sufa Crossing, which is located in southwestern Gaza Strip, near the town of Rafah.
These troops were backed by several military vehicles and penetrated under jet cover.
They opened fire at a civilian, Yahya Al Bayouk, 25, and killed him.
They arrested sixteen civilians and took them to an unknown destination.

5:30am the following day, the IOF withdrew from the area.
Later on, at app.
7pm on 23/1/2008, the IOF released the sixteen civilians.
The IOF had forced them to change into coveralls and subjected them to an investigation.
