At app. 12:30am, on 16/4/2008, twelve IOF military vehicles entered into the eastern area of Al Haja'ia and At Tuffah neighborhoods in eastern Gaza City, between the juice factory and Nahel Oz Crossing. At app. 6:30am, the IOF opened fire at a group of young men. As a result, four of them were killed and four others were injured, all with different wounds. The victims were identified as 35-year-old Abd Al Kareem Al Khesi, 21-year-old Mahmoud Helles, 22-year-old Mostafa At Tattar, and 22-year-old Karam Al Wadia.
