On 27/4/2008, Khan Younis Municipality announced complete suspension of its services due the lack of fuel needed to operate its machines and vehicles as well as water wells and sewage disposal systems.
The problem of fuel is suggested to bring out an environmental disaster in Khan Younis City, and consequently harm the public and environmental health.
