10:45am, on 4/5/2008, an unknown person threw a grenade towards a group of students, who were gathering close to Abu Awad conference hall inside the campus of Al Azhar university in Gaza City.
As a result, 15 students were injured, one of whom was reported to have sustained serious injury.
It is noteworthy that altercations occurred between a group of students in the campus at app.
12pm, on 30/4/2008, which caused the university's administration to suspended the study for the rest of that day.
It is believed that first incident is connected with the latter.
