According to the center's researcher, within a campaign that started on Saturday, 26 July 2008, at approximately 1:00 am, police and internal security officers, of the deposed Ministry f Interior in Gaza, broke into a number of governmental and non-governmental institutions in Khan Younis and Central governorates.
The gunmen from the internal security and Al Qassam brigades broke into the two headquarters, stayed in it, transferring all the central governorate contents to unknown place.

Gun members from Al Ez eddein Al Qassam brigades, the military wing of Hamas movement participated in this campaign, which targeted a large number of societies and institutions reaching 50 stormed, confiscated and closed down institutions in Khan Younis, including kindergartens and the medical center of AL Huda society.
While the number of the targeted institutions in the Central governorate reached 35 institutions and NGOs, including a number of sports clubs.

As well, at approximately 3:00 am on the same day, officers from the internal security stormed into the house of the Fatah member, Mazen Shaheen, in khan Younis.
They confiscated one computer set and office furniture from his house.

On Sunday, 27 July 2008, at approximately 2:00 am, gunmen from Al Qassam brigades confiscated a four-wheel Suzuki vehicle, owned by Osama AL Farra, the governor of Khan Younis.
The vehicle was confiscated from his house in Sheikh Nasser neighborhood.

On the same day, in the central governorate, internal security officers confiscated two vehicles belonging to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, in front of the house of Mr.
Khaled Rodwan, in Al Maghazi neighborhood.
