On Friday, 1st August 2008, at approximately 5:30 am, five citizens were killed and other fifteen were moderately suffocated from Gas in a tunnel, connecting the Egyptian territories with the Gaza Strip, located in Al Barazil neighborhood, in Rafah City. The search operations ended at approximately 11:00 pm. All the injured persons were transported to Annajar hospital while five bodies were retrieved and identified as: 23-year-old Taher Mohammed Dheir 22-year-old Hamada Mahmoud Fojo 24-year-old Ahmed Sulaiman Hussein Al Akhras 23-year-old Munir Fathi Rashwan 24-year-old Sulaiman Nasser AlahRashwan.
