The Israeli Occupation Forces have escalated the aggression in the Palestinian Occupied Territories taking advantage of the fact that the world attention is focused on the events in the USA.
They entered the PA territories in Jenin and Tubas in the West Bank and killed nine Palestinians.
In addition they killed two other Palestinians at the checkpoint in the Gaza Strip.
Since yesterday night, the Israeli army imposed a comprehensive siege on the Palestinian territories closing all the passages and preventing any goods or passengers to enter or leave.
The most remarkable attack took place in Jenin last night when Israeli forces entered the town after shelling it with howitzers and heavy machine guns.
They bulldozed several Palestinian police points and killed three persons.
Iyad al-Masri, 28, and Ali al-Fayid, 30, from Jenin were among them.
Twenty other persons were injured in the attack before they left the area.
In two similar attacks on Tubas and Tamun, six Palestnians were killed and tens were injured.
At around eight in the morning today Israeli occupation soldiers started firing at a Mercedes taxi with the number plates 3-0320-30 while crossing al-Matahin Checkpoint north of Khan Yunis coming from Dir al-Balah and going towards Khan Yunis.
This led to the death of one of the passengers, Maher Hamdi Ziyada, 21, from al-Maghazi Refugee Camp.
Two others were wounded and were transferred to an-Nasr Hospital in Khan Yunis:

There was an Israeli tank which fired at around eight in the morning today at a residential houses in the Shuut area, in Block J, west Rafah while it was passing along the border line with Egypt.
This led to the injury of Yehya Hasan al-Masri with a live bullet in the stomach.
He was taken to Abu Yusuf an-Najjar Hospital, in Rafah for treatment.
His condition is described as between dangerous and medium.
At around four in the afternoon, yesterday Tuesday 11/9/2001, the occupation soldiers fired from a military point, on the Eastern line in an area known as Abu Ajin, south-east of Dir al-Balah, at a civilian microbus taxi transporting passengers and passing in front of this military point.
There had been no incidents in the area.
This led to the death of Muhammad Abu Shaqfa, 28, from Khan Yunis, wounded in the head with a live bullet.
Three other passengers were also wounded, among them Muhammad Said Abdu, 22, from Khan Yunis, wounded with a live bullet in the left thigh.
At around eleven in the evening yesterday the occupation forces east of Gaza City shelled the east of ash-Shajaiya Neighbourhood.
The shelling led to the damage of the National Security Forces point and the Ailiwa Chips Factory and an iron factory.
Yehya Said Rawaishid, 7, was wounded by a live bullet on his left foot.
Al Mezan Center for Human Rigths considers this Israeli escalation highly dangerous especially the large number of victims of the Israeli violence.
Al Mezan warns that the Israeli forces are targeting the civilian Palestinians especially when the international attention is focused on the events in the United States.
It asks the international community to abide by its duties and responsibilities in relation to civilian residents of the Palestinian Occupied Territories just as it asks for the immediate provision of international protection.
