The IOF have intensified their offensive in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT), killing two Palestinians yesterday adding to a total of ten Palestinians killed in four days.
According to Al Mezan field workers, at approximately 5:20pm on February 7th, Israeli military air forces fired one missile on a red Mazda on the Street opposite to Islamic Aggregation building in Al Sabrah Neighborhood in Gaza city.
Killing the drivers: Mohammad Abu Sharia, 30, Al Sabrah resident, and Hassan Ali Bakr, 27, Gaza resident.
The car was completely damaged, and four children were injured one of whom is in critical conditions.
The IOF continued shelling different areas east of Gaza and north Gaza districts, causing terrible explosion sounds that terrified civilians especially children.
Al Mezan Center for Human Rights condemns these IOF extrajudicial assassination crimes, and asserts that such illegal killings are war crimes in breach of International law, most notably the Fourth Geneva Convention Relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.
Al Mezan hereby calls upon the international community, most importantly the High Contracting Parties of Geneva Convention, to undertake their legal and ethical duty and immediately intervene to put an end to Israeli crimes, and provide protection to civilians in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT).
Further, Al Mezan asserts that continuous disregard of Israeli crimes has encouraged further crimes against Palestinians in the OPT.
