Israeli Forces Open Fire at Palestinian Fishermen in Al Waha Area, Detain Two Fishermen

At 9:15a.m. on Thursday, 28 December 2017, Israeli naval forces opened fire at Palestinian fishermen sailing off the shore of Al Waha area in western Beit Lahia city in North Gaza governorate. After surrounding a Palestinian boat, Israeli warships detained Shawqi Saqer Baker, 20, and Sameh Haider Al Qooqa, 35, both residents of Gaza city, who were sailing at a distance of 2.5 nautical miles.
