IOF Opens Fire East of Khan Younis, Three People Injured

At approximately 6:30 pm in Friday, 17 April 2015, Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened sporadic fire and launched tear gas canisters at a group of young people as they were carrying Palestinian flags and approached the border fence in Al Snati area east of Abasan Al Kabeera village east of Khan Younis. As a result, three people were injured, Al Mezan identified their names a s follows:

  • Alaa Hafez Mohammed Abu Amer, 22, sustained a bullet wound in his left leg;
  • Mohammed Munir Mahmoud Abu Amer, 19, sustained a bullet wound in his left leg; and
  • Khalil Ja’far Khalil Kalan, 16, sustained a bullet wound in his knees.

The injured were carried to the Gaza European hospital where their injuries were described as moderate.
