Internal Security Apparatus Detain PA Colonel North of Gaza City

At approximately 3:15 pm on Saturday 5 July 2014, eight people dressed in civilian clothes identified themselves as members of internal security apparatus detained Atef Attya Abdullah Al Qen, 47, who works as PA colonel at the presidential guard apparatus.
He was detained while he was in front of At-Tazej shop for chicken near Bahloul gas station, north of Gaza City.
They took him to unknown destination.
At approximately 2:30 pm on the next day, one of his sons received a phone call from a man who introduced himself as a member of the internal security apparatus informing him that his father is detained at the apparatus office near Ansar compound west of Gaza City and he asked him to bring some clothes for his father.
Reasons behind his detention are still unknown.
