IOF Attacks Group of Palestinians and Injures Seven East of Jabaliya

At approximately 2:00 pm on Friday 31 January 2014, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) fired live ammunition and launched tear gas canisters at a group of Palestinian young men and children near the borders east of the Islamic cemetery east of Jabaliya in North Gaza district.
The shooting continued until 6:00 pm on the same day.
As a result, seven men were injured; four of them sustained live bullet wounds, one sustained a rubber bullet wound, and two sustained wounds from tear gas canisters.
Al Mezan has identified them as follows: Ahmed Khaled Abu Shakyan, 22, sustained a bullet wound in his left thigh; Shaker Thabet Az-Zawar’a, 26, sustained a bullet wound in his legs; Mahmoud Mohyee Ad-Deen Mehrem, 24; Mo’az Khamees At-Talalqa, 21; Abdallah Ali Al Khateeb, 21, sustained a rubber bullet wound in his right side; Mohammed Bassem Tafesh, 18, sustained an injury from a tear gas canister in his head; and Khaled Atef As-Sabbah, 20, sustained a tear gas canister in his left leg.
