IOF Opens Fire at Scrap and Iron Collectors, Wounding One North of Beit Hanoun

At approximately 11:30 am on Thursday 5 July 2012, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) positioned in the watchtowers surrounding Beit Hanoun (Erez) crossing near the northern border opened fire at a number of scrap iron, plastic, and stone collectors who were in the destroyed industrial area near Erez.
 According to Al Mezan’s field investigations ,Rushdi Abed Ekhrawat, a 22-year-old resident of Beit  Hanoun, was injured in the right thigh.
 Medical resources  at Beit Hanoun Hospital described his injuries as minor.
