More IOF troops deployed in Beit Hanoun and enter the town

3 July 2006

At approximately 9:30am on Monday July 3rd 2006, the IOF consolidated their presence in parts of eastern Beit Hanoun.
30 military vehicles approached the town and were positioned in strategic locations, surrounded by protective piles of sand.
Simultaneously, 10 military vehicles moved towards the northern borders, reaching the Avocado- growing area and then moved to Shorrab's grove in northeast Beit Hanoun.
They leveled lands and created deep trenches in the area.
At approximately 2:00pm, the military vehicles moved away from the borders; however, a huge bulldozer remained in the area, continuing leveling and digging trenches along the borders in the area located northwest of Beit Hanoun.
Further, at approximately 10:00 am, the IOF broke into the house of Arafat Atallah Al Masri in Beit Hanoun, searching it and using it as a military surveillance point.
