In the past two days, two persons were killed, one of the victims was from Gaza City and the other was from the Middle Gaza district.
According to the field information collected by the Al Mezan Center for Human Rights, at approximately 1:00 a.
m.
on Sunday 29 July 2012, Hasan Majdi Mohammed Al Huwani, 19, from Al Maghazi refugee camp, was admitted to Al Aqsa Hospital after sustaining several bullet wounds to the head and shoulder.
His medical condition was critical and he was referred to Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.
At approximately 1:30 a.
m.
on the same day, medical sources announced his death.
In his affidavit to Al Mezan, Hasan’s brother who accompanied Hasan when the incident took place, stated that they were walking near their home near Hussni mosque in Al Maghazi refugee camp when a number of masked men stopped them and ordered them to walk down another street.
A verbal dispute began between the men and escalated when the masked men beat Hasan with the back of their rifles.
Hasan fell on the ground and one of the masked men opened fire at him.
Hasan’s brother fainted and the masked armed men escaped.
Local residents carried the brothers to the hospital.
In a separate incident, at approximately 8:00 p.
m.
on Thursday 26 July 2012, a family dispute erupted between the Quota and Abu Dalfa families in the Ash-Sheja’iya neighborhood east of Gaza.
The dispute was developed when one person threw a grenade towards the gathering crowd.
As a result, Mousa Muhei Ad-Din Mousa Harara, 34, was killed and another six persons were injured.
The Al Mezan Center for Human Rights views with much concern these two incidents which resulted in the killing of two persons and injury of another six persons.
Al Mezan calls upon the concerned authorities to initiate serious investigation into the incidents and to bring the perpetrators to justice.
