The Shuheibar family, Gaza City

On Thursday, 17 July 2014, an Israeli drone fired a missile at approximately 5:30pm onto the roof of the Shuheibar family house, which is located in the densely populated neighbourhood of Al Sabra in Gaza City. Three children - a girl and two boys who are brothers - were killed in the attack. They were feeding the chicken and pigeons that the family keeps on the roof.  The attack killed three children aged between 8 and 11, and injured two others. Basil Yasser Shuheibar, 8, and Udai Shuheibar, 16. Basil was seriously injured.

The children who were killed have been identified as:

1. Afnan Wisam Shuheibar (8);
2. Jehad Issam Shuheibar (10), Afnan's cousin; and
3. Wasim Issam Shuheibar (9).
